I’ve compiled a list of my very favorite travel resources and will be adding to it in the coming months, follow along for great tips, tricks and travel hacks.
In 2024 I decided to start a travel blog that helped others with advice, tips and tricks on achieving their travel dreams. This is a list of actual businesses and products that I use when travelling.

Travel Credit Cards
WestJet World Elite Mastercard – If you have an Mastercard, check out the Dragon Pass. It allows Mastercard holders special privileges such as lounge access and savings on food and merchandise at airports around the world. (For Canadians)
RBC Avion Visa Infinite – One way flights start as low as 7500 points. Grab everyday essentials with points, or convert them to WestJet Dollars. (For Canadians)
Chase Sapphire Preferred – this is hands down the best travel credit card out there. Industry leaders across the US agree that this is a phenomenal credit card. Welcome bonus of 60,000 points and the ability to convert points to any major airline or hotel chain. (For Americans)
Accommodation
My favorite type of accommodations are self-catered houses/apartments through Airbnb or VRBO; but that is not always possible now a days, and I book plenty of hotels as well.
(The world is seeing some challenges with airbnb tourism just now (new regulations in the bigger European cities). I recommend you do research on the area and make sure you’re not contributing to unaffordable housing by booking Airbnb or VRBO.)
I love to use Expedia.com or Booking.com to get a general feel for the price of hotels in the city I’m traveling to, and then I compare prices between multiple sites.

My favorite hotels are the Marriot Bonvoy Family of hotels, Choice Hotels and citizenM hotels. They can be found world wide, and I’ve personally experienced incredible customer service with all companies.
Car Rentals
I have used a broker company called Car Rental Net for the last decade in Europe. We’ve never run into any issues with the cars or service. I partnered with this company to get the very best rates for my readers.

Flights
I have various ways including Google Flights that I track prices. I also use the service Secret Flying and Travelzoo. Setting up alerts or emails is the best way to get notifications about price drops.
Search flights through a flight aggregator I’ve loved using recently – CheapOair.
Transportation
For Transportation in California: I recommend using the car services of either Karmel or Go Green For Less Green. Karmel will provide car seats if you need them, Scott from Go Green doesn’t have that service yet, but will accommodate your own car seat in his Tesla’s.
For Transportation everywhere else: ‘Get Transfer’ will get you to and from your destination.
Data on your phone
I’ve used Airalo E-SIM when traveling abroad to save money on the “roam like home” fees we get charged as Canadians. The prices are extortionate compared to a cheap E-SIM card and plan. Read my full guide on how to use an E-SIM here:
Disney
I partnered up with a great company called Get Away Today. They are a major resource for all things Disney whether you’re looking for Disneyland, Disney World, Cruises + more.
