Depending on where you go, if it’s Mexico, Cuba, Jamaica, Dominican Republic I recommend outside of hurricane season which starts in June and lasts until the end of November
1. Trinidad and Tobago
2. Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao
3. St Vincent and the Grenadines
4. Barbados
5. Grenada
Absolutely not, the ABC islands hold a fairly steady temperature of 30 degrees almost year round. The trade winds hit Curacao for a little relief, while Aruba and Bonaire are quite sunny and hot, but not outrageously so.
My family and I have been staying at Airbnbs since 2010. Besides minor inconveniences that do not affect the enjoyment of the property, we’ve never run into any problems. I make sure that I thoroughly read the reviews, or contact the host for some light chit chat to get a feeling for their attitude.
Red flags are hosts that are really slow to reply, I mean like 24 hours or more (and that’s prior to booking.) Poor reviews mentioning that the neighborhood is noisy, the furniture or sheets are dirty, the photos don’t match the property, or any highly defensive hosts snapping back at reviewers.
There are several sources we check before booking a car rental. I’ve always loved Car Rental Net, so I partnered with them. You can search the best deals on cars here:
The T Word Car Rentals by Car Rental Net
For the United States and Caribbean we also check The King of Car Rentals, and Costco
This has been fluid over the last few years. Sometimes there’s great deals 9 months in advance, or 4 weeks in advance. Typically the best flight deals are found 4-6 months prior to your date of departure. It doesn’t matter what day of the week you book either.
I follow several reputable websites that post travel deals as they come up. As I find the best deals, I’ll be posting them on my stories on Instagram. I also set up alerts through a google search for Flight Deals. Make sure to follow me here:

Absolutely not. It 100% manageable with preparation. We have been travelling with my son since he was 4 months old. I recommend the inflatable Fly Tot product so that kids can sleep comfortably on long haul flights. Lots of great snacks (extra chewy ones are very helpful!), and things to keep them occupied whether that be new fidget toys to unwrap, window clings or screens (screen time has no limits unless we are actively trying to get him to sleep).
